Australia Visa Process
The Australian government operates an overseas student program that allows people who are not Australian permanent residents to study in Australia Visas are granted by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). If you want to study in Australia you need to obtain a student Visa before you start the course in Australia.
You will be granted a student visa only if you wish to undertake a registered course or a part of a registered course on a full time basis.
Australian student visa are processed by Australian High Commission. The students should apply for pre-visa approval two months prior to course starts date. On receiving the Pre-Visa Approval (PVA) the student has to pay the 1st semesters tuition fee to the institution. Thereafter the institution sends the fee receipt electronically, to enable High Commission to issue the Visa Stamp.
