Financial Documentation List (United kingdom)

ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS SHOULD BE PROVIDED AT THE TIME OF VISA APPLICATION.

FUNDS: THE FOLLOWING ARE ACCEPTED SOURCES OF FUNDS:

Bank Loan

  • Bank Loan Sanction Letter in the name of the student - It should be a detailed letter containing all the terms and conditions of Loan like Rate of Interest, Loan Amount, Margin, Security, Repayment terms, Guarantors, etc. The Loan sanction letter should unconditional. The only acceptable condition could be "Disbursement of Loan subject to Visa Approval". If the loan sanction letter is conditional then a separate letter from the bank is required which states that all the terms and conditions mentioned on loan sanction letter are fulfilled and it should also mention the amount disbursed if any. Kindly submit a copy of the Full Loan agreement in case the loan is disbursed. The loan should be in the student's name only. The loan should be dated no more than 6 months before the date of the application.

Bank Statement

  • Latest Saving's a/c Bank Statements / Pass Books of the student for the last one month, preferably from Nationalized / MNC / Reputed Private Banks / Reputed Cooperative Banks - with the Account holders Name, Account number, Logo, seal, sign, name and designation of the signing authority. The Bank Statements / Passbook should be updated atleast 2 days prior to Visa Application. The Bank Statements should be on the letterhead of the bank. (2) You can show any number of Bank accounts. However, it is recommended to transfer all the funds into one bank account. (3) The savings account should be in the Student's name. Parents Bank Account or Joint accounts with Parents are also acceptable. In case of Joint accounts with Parents, the student should be a joint a/c holder for a minimum period of 28 Days prior to Visa application.In case of Parents Bank Account or joint a/c with parents, Sponsorship letter from the Parents and the student's Birth Certificate is also required. These funds should be held in the Student's account for a minimum period of 28 Days prior to visa application. The end of that 28 day period must not be more than one month before the date of your application, for which you must show bank statements/other evidence. The UKBA will use the closing balance of the document you provide as the level of funds available to you. This is also the date they will use to check the value of your money in pounds sterling. This means that the student can file visa application from 29th day to 58th day. Bank Balance cannot be withdrawn till the Visa is approved.(4) Kindly provide the contact numbers of the Banks and contact person's names for all Bank Accounts that you show, along with their Visiting Card. Kindly attach a bank balance certificate issued by the respective bank which should be taken 1 or 2 days before visa application. This certificate should clearly mention that these funds are held since 28 days.

Bank Fixed Receipts

  • Bank Fixed Deposit Receipts / NRE Deposits in the student's name for a minimum period of 28 days prior to Visa application. Joint Fixed Deposits with Parent and Fixed Deposits in Parent's name are also acceptable. In case of Joint Fixed Deposits with Parents, the student should be a joint a/c holder for a minimum period of 28 Days prior to Visa application. Kindly attach a bank letter issued by the respective bank mentioning the details of all fixed deposits held. This letter should be taken 1 or 2 days before visa application. This letter should clearly mention that these funds would be readily available as and when required. In case of joint a/c with parents and Fixed Deposits in Parent's name, Sponsorship letter from the Parents and the student's Birth Certificate is also required.

  • The funds required to be shown for Visa purpose will depend on the duration of the course as mentioned on the Visa letter.
  • LENGTH OF COURSE WHERE YOU WILL STUDY MAINTENANCE (FUNDS) NEEDED
    More than nine months In London First year of fees + £7200 towards nine month of Living Expense
    More than nine months Outside London First year of fees + £5400 towards nine month of Living Expense
    Nine months or less In London Course fees + £800 for nine month of the course or as per actual in case of lesser course duration
    Nine months or less Outside London Course fees + £600 for nine month of the course or as per actual in case of lesser course duration

  • Please Note that the Visa officer will calculate the Value of One Pound as what prevails on the day when the Visa Application is assessed. Therefore, it is advisable to take the conversion rate of Pound on a slightly higher side for the purpose of arriving at the actual cost of Education in UK.   • Also note that the fees can be paid from any bank account including parents, relatives or friends before Visa application. The balance funds have to shown in the student's account or in the form of Bank Loan Sanction letter.
  • If a student is doing a course that is less than six months and is not a course to prepare them for study, they will be able to come to the United Kingdom up to seven days before the start date of the course.
  • KINDLY NOTE THAT INCOME TAX RETURNS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR VISA PURPOSE.
  • Kindly note that other asset papers like: Property, Share, PPF, EPF, Post Office, jewellery, etc. are NOT required for Visa purpose.
  • Kindly note that sponsorship letter and Birth Certificate of the student will be required in case the funds are shown in Parent's A/c / Joint a/c with Parents.
  • The Student can possess any number of CAS Statements.
  • 1.Kindly note that the student does not have to show the source of Funds. (Proof of recent deposit is not required). For e.g. If the student has to show Rs. 1000000, He can show the same by depositing Rs. 10,00,000 cash in his savings a/c 28 days prior to his Visa application. Alternatively his parents, relatives or friends can transfer part / full amount into the student's bank account 28 days prior to Visa application.
